Terms of Use

1. Provider and service

InvoiceByHerb is provided by Dominik Märtens, Welden, Germany. It reads electronic invoices (XRechnung, ZUGFeRD/Factur-X, Peppol BIS), displays them in readable form and checks a selection of formal and arithmetic rules. Use is free of charge during the test phase.

2. No tax or legal advice

The check is an automated basic check of selected rules. It is not a complete validation and not tax or legal advice. A green result does not mean an invoice is correct in every respect or entitles to input tax deduction. The statutory requirements and, where in doubt, your tax adviser are authoritative; for XRechnung the official KoSIT validator is authoritative. Information on country obligations is general information as of the stated date.

3. Acceptable use

Only submit invoices you are entitled to process. Automated mass requests, attacks on the service and attempts to circumvent security measures are prohibited. We may restrict access in case of misuse.

4. Availability

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee any particular availability. Features may change or be discontinued.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. For free use we are not liable for slight negligence. Otherwise liability is excluded.

6. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
